A TEENAGER was rescued after becoming stuck on the roof of a third-floor maisonette while retrieving a football.
Earlier, 15-year-old Nick Keenan had climbed 25 feet up a drainpipe before clambering on to the roof ledge at the flat in Chapelfield, Radcliffe on Saturday (Sept 1).
But according to Whitefield firefighters, he lost the nerve to come back down. His friends called out the fire brigade.
Officers extended a ladder to the roof and helped the youngster down, ending his 30-minute ordeal.
But there was one consolation for Nick, who lives nearby. He found a second football on the same roof!
