AN off-duty policeman came to the rescue when he chased two teenagers who stole an 11-year-old boy's bike.
The incident happened when two boys were riding along Polefield Road, Simister.
They were approached by the teenagers, one of whom produced a knife and ordered one of the boys off his bike.
But PC Simon Akker gave chase and the stolen bike was recovered.
The thieves were both Asian in their late teens. One had a goatee beard and wore a red baseball cap, the other wore a black jacket and hood.
Anyone with information about the incident, at 7.30pm on Wednesday August 29 should ring 872 5050 and ask for PC Akker.
