NEW boy Matt Anderton set Darwen on their way to their first NWCL Division Two win of the season.
The centre half, signed from Clitheroe, equalised ten minutes after the restart to get Steve Wilkes's side back in the game.
And they went in front for the first time this season around 30 seconds later when Norton's right back lost the ball to Denis Hill and he saw the keeper off his line and fired home.
Paul Baker missed two one-on-ones but made up for it late in the game, lashing the ball home and Wilkes could at last relax.
Darwen, who are at home to Alsager tomorrow night, have signed midfielder Michael Douglas, the grandson of former Rovers great Bryan, who played at the Anchor Ground a couple of seasons ago before joining the RAF.
RESULT: NORTON UNITED...1 DARWEN...3
