AN amateur archeologist from Darwen astounded his audience with revelations a the Incan Empire.
Alexander Newbegging, of Alfred Street, gave a one hour talk at Top Conservative Club, Northcote Street, Darwen, on how Incas constructed their jigsaw-like walls.
Mr Newbegging said: "Archeologists have been baffled by the walls for 1000s of years but I have now found out how they actually formed the walls, which wasn't easy and took a lot of research and time.
"I had a lot of people coming up to me at the end wanting to know more, so I plan to do another talk at a later date during the year."
