A SECTION of the M65 was closed for a short time this morning after a cattle trailer being towed by a Range Rover overturned as it headed towards Colne.
The incident happened at around 8.15am between junctions 13 and 14.
Both carriageways were closed when the owner of the animals told the police he was concerned they may try to escape from the trailer and wander around the motorway.
A spokesman for the police said the trailer was removed from the road within the hour without the animals escaping and the motorway was open again by 9.30am.
