EAST LANCASHIRE pub goers are invited to nominate the manager or landlord of their favourite watering hole for the 2002 British Institute of Innkeeping Licensee of The Year award.
As well as winning the prestigious title, sponsored by drink producer and wholesaler Matthew Clark, the top licensee or couple will walk away with a trophy and £1,000.
After nomination entrants must complete an entry form to test their knowledge of licensing law, drinks and other industry issues to put them in the frame for being one of three regional finalists.
Judges will then visit the finalist pubs in each of six regions to whittle the number down to six who will meet in London for a deciding interview and the chance of winning.
Customers can call Laura Janes on 01276 417825 to recommend an entry form for their local licensee or they can nominate themselves by calling the same number.
