AN Astley Village member of the Bowland Mountain Rescue Team was responsible for finding a 20-year-old man who went missing on a family outing in the Cockerham area.
Paul Durham was one of the most experienced members of a 25-strong team called out to look for the man, described as suicidal, who walked off into the Trough of Bowland on Sunday afternoon after an argument. Mr Durham found the man, from Bolton, when he heard noises coming from a field.
The man could not be seen until thermal-image cameras were used by the police helicopter.
