THE next meeting of the Burnley Task Force, set up to inquire into the causes of racial disturbances in the town, will be held at the Daneshouse community centre.
Daneshouse was one of the areas most seriously affected by the incidents in June, along with Duke Bar and Burnley Wood.
The meeting will be on Wednesday next week, starting at 5.30pm.
The first hour will be for members of the public to go along and express their views.
Interpreters will be available in Urdu, Bengali, Pushtu and British sign language, as they are at all Task Force meetings.
The Task Force has recently distributed 500 posters across the borough, encouraging people to pass on their views and opinions of the reasons for the disturbances and the way forward.
People can contact the Task Force by writing to the independent chairman, Lord Tony Clarke, at Burnley Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 1JA or by e mail taskforce@burnley.gov.uk.
This is the third meeting of the Task Force.
Future meetings are planned at St John's RC Church Hall, Ivy Street on October 10 and at Burnley Wood One Stop Shop on Springfield Road on October 24.
