DARWEN artist Bob Lakey recently held an exhibition of drawings in Darwen Library and included among them were three drawings of former well-known Darweners Valderee, Billy Brennan and Bill Hunt.
Mr Lakey said: "Before the exhibition this created a lot of interest with people ringing me up and stopping me down town with little bits of information that I needed about them."
Mr Lakey said he would like to thank everyone who came forward with information about them including the families of Valderee, Billy Brennan and Bill Bunt.
He said: "I would also like to thank the people who I spoke to on the phone, the people who stopped me in town with information and also the many people who came up to me and said how much they liked the drawings."
Mr Lakey said he would also like to thank staff at Darwen Library for their help and everyone who lent him pictures and said it was much appreciated.
