THANKS to a family fun day in Edgeside Park on Sunday, children from Waterfoot may soon get their wish for a skateboard ramp in the park and all proceeds from the Party in the Park will go towards the cost of building it.
Local children were asked by organisers Edgeside Residents Association, to paint pictures for a competition of what they would most like to see in the park and the clear winner was a half-pipe ramp -- used for skateboarding, BMX bikes and rollerbladers.
The competition was part of the Party in the Park which was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Rossendale, Mr James and Mrs Lois Grogan, who also judged the painting competition.
