RESIDENTS and staff at dove Court residential and nursing home, Burnley, are expecting some special canine visitors next week.
On Tuesday Toby, a black labrador, Billy, a Yorkshire terrier, Boodie, a weimaraner, and Paddy, another labrador, will be keeping everyone at the home entertained as they take part in National Take Your Dog to Work Day.
The event is run by the Blue Cross animal welfare charity to raise funds.
The home manager at BUPA's Dove Court, Kath Bebbington, said: "I really wanted to take part because I thought it was a great opportunity to highlight the benefits that dogs and pets have on the elderly.
"The dogs have visited in the past and are always spoilt rotten with affection by everyone."
