ELECTRICAL equipment and jewellery were stolen from a house in Salisbury Street, Colne.
Thieves got into the mid-terrace house through a ground floor window, between 12.01am and 5am on Tuesday, while the occupants were asleep upstairs.
Items stolen included a chrome-coloured Hitachi video recorder, a Toshiba laptop computer, a Matabo hand drill, a Landmark Optra computer printer, Hewlett Packard desk top printer, various items of jewellery and fishing equipment.
Police are connecting the burglary with a break-in in nearby Norfolk Street between 10am on Monday and 7.40am on Tuesday.
DC Andy Eddleston said: "We are connecting the two. The offenders got in through a rear window in each and we think they were disturbed in the second."
A hand towel, which police believe could have been used to wipe fingerprints off the surfaces, was stolen from the house in Norfolk Street.
