RUNSHAW Adult College and Business Centre has completed the move from Leyland to its new home in Euxton tripling the space it previously had.

The centre moved from the Royal Ordinance Estate, Wigan Road, Leyland, to the former BAE headquarters at Buckshaw Village, Euxton Lane, Euxton -- a move which principal Bernard O'Connell is delighted with.

He said: "The opening of the stunning new adult campus in Euxton Lane is the realisation of one of Runshaw College's dreams.

"Five years ago we were known as the largest and most successful sixth form college in England and it was then we decided to set out to provide adults with what we had already delivered to school leavers.

"We wanted to develop a wide range of academic and vocational courses for all Chorley and South Ribble residents who wanted to return to learning, and also for local businesses who wanted to develop."

The move means the college can offer a first class library, career guidance and restaurant facilities, as well as newly furnished classrooms and workshops. Among the new facilities are an extended art portfolio with new kilns and darkrooms, computer suites -- including a dedicated network for higher education students.
