THE author of the letter about traffic in Leyland read my mind (Citizen, September 6).
The temporary traffic signals for road repairs, pipe installations or cable laying have been too many at one time.
The work has not been authorised with a thought for the motorist in that they all sprung-up overnight and on the busiest, most well-used roads.
No doubt the work has been authorised by some pen-pushing manager who enjoys walking to work of a morning. But for the people who have to use their cars to get to and from work the situation has been appalling.
And for those who believe in leaving cars at home in favour of public transport, there's no chance. The bus services have been chaotic due to the Leyland road works and many people have probably missed train connections as a result.
No wonder we hear about road-rage attacks.
