A KIKO Rodriguez hat-trick saw Nelson through to the next round of the FA Vase in the replay at Victoria Park.
The Blues grabbed the lead after 10 minutes when Rodriguez sidestepped a defender and slotted a deliberate shot in off a post to confirm Nelson's supremacy during the opening stages.
When the NWCL Division One side failed to build on their lead however, the visitors began to create chances of their own and almost levelled the scores when Darren Trotter headed a corner against the Blues crossbar just before half time.
The game was in the balance during the second half with the Blues struggling to create the vital second goal but it finally came on 84 minutes.
The tenacious Mick Moyneux supplied a long high cross from the left wing and Rodriguez rose at the far post to head firmly home and put Nelson 2-0 in front.
Norton's resistance was ended and the Blues piled on the pressure.
After 87 minutes substitute Andy Howarth crossed from the right and when the ball fell to Rodriguez at the far side of the goalmouth, he blasted in an unstoppable drive to complete the scoring at 3-0.
They will face a home clash with Leeds side Garforth Town in the second qualifying round.
The game had finished 2-2 after extra-time in the North East on Saturday.
RESULT: NELSON...3 NORTON AND STOCKTON...0
