MANAGER John Coleman left out Gary Williams in a game Stanley needed to win and they got the perfect start to their Unibond Premier League game when central defender Jonathan Smith scored after only two minutes.
Droylsden equalised on 27 minutes when Lloyd Richardson drove the ball across a packed area for Nigel Evans to shoot home from 15 yards.
Lutel James was been guilty of a dreadful miss in the 23rd minute after beating the keeper but firing over with the goal gaping.
He made amends with a superb goal in the 44th minute when he turned and shot past Droylsden goalkeeper Paul Phillips from 16 yards after strike partner Paul Mullin set the chance up the Reds.
Former Shrewsbury Town professional Paul Howarth replaced the injured Steve Morgan in defence for the start of the second half. On 49 minutes Stanley went 3-1 in front when right back Peter Cavanagh stepped up to take a direct free kick from 60 yards and seeing Phillips off his line he scored one of the finest free kicks you will ever see at the Crown Ground.
Two minutes Mullin made it four when after good work from the midfield, Robbie Williams pulled the ball for Mullin to drive the ball into the net for a quality goal. On 53 minutes Danny Warner pulled one back for Droylsden heading the ball down to just squeeze it past a diving Jamie Speare at the near post from corner.
The fifth goal came on 78 minutes when after heading the ball away from a corner, Smith played the ball out to the left and from the resulting cross Lutel James hit an excellent drive past Phillips.
Stanley showed a lot of character in this win and played some excellent football especially in the second half.
Stanley have now scored 17 goals in their seven league games, but have conceded 18.
