AFTER reading the remarks of Leslie Jones about the appearance of Blackburn women (Letters, September 5) I remembered a parody on the song 'After The Ball,' which was popular in those halcyon days long before the idiocy of political correctness.
The words were:
After the ball was over
See her take out her glass eye,
Put her false teeth in water
Lock up her bottle of dye.
Hide her cork leg in the corner
Hang up her wig on the wall,
All these things go to by-byes
After the ball.
-- And no-one suffered 'stress.'
