EVER been left high and dry in airport lounges because of flight delays or over-booking?
Good news is on the horizon after Euro MPs voted to give long-suffering travellers a better deal.
When the new laws start in two years' time, delayed passengers could demand a full refund of their air fare, or an earlier alternative flight.
People who cannot board their plane because of over-booking could claim four times the present level of compulsory compensation.
The measures would also cover lost luggage, simpler pricing and clearer contracts.
Gary Titley, North West Labour MEP, said: "Crucially, badly performing airlines will be named and shamed in new league tables. When this was done in the United States 15 years ago, standards rapidly improved."
