THE sky's the limit for Bury College students who have achieved outstanding results in their final Travel Agents exam.
An unprecedented 31 out of 49 students passed with a distinction allowing the Market Street college to boast some of the best results in the country for the Association of British Travel Agents Certificate (ABTAC). This prestigious award means that holders of the certificate are ABTA qualified, the key qualification that can open up opportunities in the Travel industry.
Course co-ordinator Anne Hargreaves said: "We have been running the course very successfully for three years at Bury, but this year the results are incredible.
"A total of 49 students sat the three hour final exam with 31 achieving distinctions and another 16 passing with merit. In order to achieve a distinction the students have to score more than 92 per cent and for this number to do so is fantastic. The results really do reflect the hard work and dedication of the students and staff."
