South Shore Youth are the early pace-setters in the Poulton Primary 7-a-side Under 10 League.
They made it 14 points from a possible 16 last Saturday by clinching maximum points at home to 4th placed Kirkham. Kurt Bradley and David Jakes both bagged pairs in Shore's 6-1 win in the 'A' game. Donald Pollock and Adam Sumner completed the scoring with Ross Ainsworth notching the visitors' consolation. Kirkham battled hard in a much closer 'B' game but a strike by Craig Robinson gave Shore a narrow 1-0 win.

BJFF proved too strong in the 'B' game also as they recorded a 6-1 victory. John Coughlin and Nathan Robinson both scored twice with Alex Hui and Thomas Lloyd completing the scoring. Alex Beckett notched the Thornton consolation.

The 'B' game ended in a 2-2 draw with Stuart Preston claiming both goals for Lytham with Alex Grice doing likewise for Spirit.
