YMCA lost this encounter by a 5-2 aggregate in the PDP Friendly League They were very unlucky to lose the 'A' game having been on top throughout before the home side snatched a goal on the break which proved decisive. Poulton were the better side in the 'B' contest and deservedly took the honours, YMCA's replies coming from Ryan Vaughan and Kyle Thompson.

A JAMES Gardiner hat trick was the feature of YMCA's 'A' game with Daniel Hartley, playing against his former club, completing the scoring. The 'B' game was a scrappy affair. Chris Barlow gave YMCA the lead which was cancelled out just after the break. Two minutes from time Adam Zyda netted from close-range to give YMCA a rather fortunate victory.
Fleetwood Gym U11s 2 YMCA U11s 5
YMCA had the gusty wind at their backs in the first half at Broadwaters last Sunday and took full advantage. A double-strike by Kyle Hendry, plus goals apiece by Jordan Douthwaite and Max Rothwell, gave them an interval 4-1 lead. They had to battle hard after the restart though facing the elements. Gym reduced the score but YMCA went further in front with an own goal to seal victory.
YMCA U12s 2 Fleetwood Gym U12s 1
YMCA had to battle hard to keep their 100% record intact. Ric Seear gave them the lead but a spirited Gym outfit, with the strong breeze in their favour, grabbed an equaliser before half time. A second strike by Seear restored YMCA's lead after the restart which they managed to hold on to for a hard earned win.
Fleetwood Gym U13s 4 YMCA 1
YMCA were badly depleted due to injuries and never looked like giving Gym too many problems. They were up against it facing the wind in the first half and the home side coasted to a 3-0 interval lead. YMCA battled bravely on in the second half and, although the impressive Michael Toft reduced the deficit, Gym added another to deservedly take three points.
YMCA U14s 9 Fleetwood Gym U14s 4
DAVID Tufft gave YMCA a lead in the opening minutes from the penalty spot but Gym soon levelled. However, YMCA remained on top and added two more by half time. The visitors reduced the score soon after the restart and pressed hard for an equaliser. However, YMCA regained their composure and their strike-force of Danny Pickering and Jack Sharples, who both grabbed hat tricks, proved to much for the Gym defence to handle. Gym netted twice more but the game was already beyond their reach. Bradly McSpirit notched the other two YMCA goals.
YMCA U15s 4 South Shore Yth 0
YMCA comfortably maintained their 100% record. Facing the wind in the first half they managed to restrict Shore's chances and it remained goalless at the break. YMCA, though, were on top throughout the second half as the visitors struggled against the wind, and Shore's cause wasn't helped by having two players dismissed. The impressive Sean Whiteside opened the scoring for YMCA with Sean Atkinson, Scott Park and Wesley Nobbs adding further goals.
BJFF Seniors U17s 5 YMCA Juniors U17s 1
ALTHOUGH well beaten by a physically strong BJFF outfit, who are title favourites already, YMCA can take a lot of encouragement from their display. They trailed 2-0 at the break and conceded three more in the second half. However they produced some excellent football throughout which posed many problems at times for the home side. The outstanding Andy Scott notched YMCA's consolation and Andy Silver was also notable on his YMCA league debut.
Clifton Rangers U17s 1 YMCA Seniors U17s 4
A YOUNG Rangers outfit performed well but the physically stronger YMCA side ran out comfortable winners in the end. Rangers took a shock early lead but strikes by the impressive Eddie Taylor and Kyle Davies gave YMCA a 2-1 interval lead. Marlon Bradley and Robert Haines adding further goals in the second half. Sean Swarbrick had a solid game in defence.
