THE borough's Active Living Team has again joined forces with the British Heart Foundation to organise the annual sponsored walk for health in Wigan.
And they have linked up with the mayor's charity, sharing all proceeds between Coun John Hilton's ultrasound scanner appeal, and the BHF.
The walk will take place on Sunday, September 30, at 10.30am from Robin Park, when the mayor will wave-off participants.
The walk, along the canal to Haigh Hall, offers a number of options, a full 10 miles, or two shorter ones of 5 miles and 3.5 miles. Dogs are welcome.
To register, call John Brown at BHF on 0161 427 6608, or, for more information, contact Active Living co-ordinator Carol Richardson on 01942 404975, or Paul Dandy at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust, on 01695 6263395.
