I FEEL I must write about the quality of care my mother received while in Bury General and Fairfield hospitals.
She went into Kenyon ward at Bury after a stroke on July 20 and the care and devotion shown to her was excellent. She was transferred to ward 18 at Fairfield, where she passed away on August 20.
The nurses on ward 18 deserve all the praise we can give them. Our mother had the best possible care, nothing was too much trouble and we could go home knowing that she was in safe hands. They were like a second family.
May I also mention Spurr House residential home in Unsworth where my mother was living. It is a lovely place and my mother was very happy there because the staff showed the same care and devotion as that displayed by hospital staff.
I thank everyone who played a part in looking after my mother. We will never forget you.
MRS ANN McDONOUGH (and family),
Douglas Walk, Whitefield.
