CHILDREN under the age of eight think TV ads are meant to give viewers a chance to go to the loo.

Well they are aren't they?

Researchers questioned 160 six to ten-year olds and found they had little idea about the motives of advertisers.

Did nobody tell them they can also be used as an alarm clock to wake couch potatoes who nod off.

What I'd like to know is why are the adverts louder than the programmes?

As soon as there's a break up goes the volume.

Well if it's meant to catch our attention it doesn't work in my house because it's a sign to turn over until the programme comes back on.

Quieter ads called for please.
