UNIVERSITY scientist Richard Wiseman has launched a web search for the world's funniest joke.
That's a tough one because not everyone has the same sense of humour.
When I went to live in an African Arab country for a year in the seventies I took a record of The Comedians to remind me of the laughs at home.
One of my favourite jokes on that is the guy who went next door to ask his neighbour how many rolls of wallpaper he had bought to decorate his identical front room.
He was told 12.
A week later he went back and told the neighbour he had two left over.
"So have I," was the reply.
That creased me, and still does, and there's none much cleaner than that.
Any good ones to share?
