rLEIGH Centurions have offered contracts to Widnes Vikings front rower Simon Knox and Castleford's Aussie utility forward Darren Shaw. Both players are currently considering their options ahead of next season.
r Knox was a member of the Vikings' NFP Grand Final winning side while former Sheffield Eagle Shaw is currently finishing the Super League season with the Tigers.
r "The offers are on the table and now it's up to the players, says Leigh's chief executive Tommy Cunningham. "It look pretty promising."
r The Centurions are also thought to be persuing Wigan Alliance pair Andy Isherwood and Eric Andrews. Isherwood is a back rower while winger Andrews is well up on the try-scoring charts.
Meanwhile, Dave Whittle is back at Leigh are spending a month on loan at Warrington.
The Welsh international was offered a full-time Super League contract by the Wolves - but it was £3000 less than he was earning part-time at Leigh. He has one year remaining on his Centurions' contract.
