ADRIAN Turnbull could not wake his friend but managed to rouse everyone else in a block of flats after returning in the early hours because he had forgotten his cigarettes.
Blackburn magistrates heard that police called to the flats of Blackburn Road, Darwen, near Pitville Street, found Turnbull shouting "Let me in" at the top of his voice and at the same time pressing all the door bells.
Turnbull, 35, of Lord Street, Darwen, admitted a breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £50 to keep the peace for six months. A charge of being drunk and disorderly was withdrawn.
Tom Snape, prosecuting, said Turnbull became abusive to the officers who had asked him to leave the area.
John Greenwood, defending, said Turnbull had been drinking at his friend's flat until the early hours.
Shortly after leaving he realised he had left his cigarettes and went back.
"He couldn't wake his friend and was rather persistent in his efforts," said Mr Greenwood.
