SO we are to get another radio station (LET, September 10). It promises music from the 1970s to the present day.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had a new radio station which would promise to play music of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s, with all the singers of the time?
Surely, it would attract a large audience whose musical tastes are rarely catered for by either the BBC or commercial stations.
Indeed, the station which includes jazz in its title only has two programmes of pure jazz and swing each week.
