IPSWICH boss George Burley looked on his side's 1-1 draw with Rovers as two points dropped rather than one point gained.
The Blues led through a 15th minute strike from Alun Armstrong but sloppy defending presented Rovers with the chance of an equaliser which they took courtesy of Matt Jansen.
"It was a game where we dropped two points and I wasn't particularly happy with our performance," said Burley.
"I thought we started brightly, looked lively in the opening 20 minutes, scored a good goal and could have had two mor three more.
"But then we were sloppy at times and that's disappointing. Some of our passing was poor and so was our concentration in marking players.
"Then in the last 10 or 15 minutes we changed it about a bit, I thought we picked it up and we almost got the winner.
"But we know that we set our standards very high last season and at the moment we are not living up to them.
"In every gamed we've played in this season, we've given a way a bad goal which we can't afford to do and it was the same again here.
"We gave away possession in our own half which shouldn't have happened.
"Maybe Matteo should have stayed on his line but that said he's made four or five good saves to keep the ball out so I can't really criticise him."
As for the 'goal' which got ruled out late on, Marcus Stewart felt it was harsh of referee Graham Poll to disallow it.
"I think Pablo Counago may have leaned on Henning Berg slightly but sometimes they're given and sometimes they're not," said Stewart.
"But as for the game overall, it could have gone either way. We started brightly but they then had two great chances.
"And both sides had great opportunities to win in the last half hour."
