GREAT HARWOOD failed to capitalise on first half pressure and had to settle for a point against Woodley in the NWCL Division One.
The visiting keeper had to be alert in the early stages to keep out Harwood efforts from John Riley, Graham Lightbown and James Coonan.
After going in at the break goalless, Harwood came out and got the breakthrough on the hour after a Woodley defender put the ball in his own net from a Coonan cross.
With around 12 minutes to go the visitors got the equaliser after the Harwood defence gave the opposition too much room around the edge of the penalty area.
"I was disappointed that we didn't get a goal in the first half when we had a good spell of pressure," said Underwood.
"But we showed if we are organised we can compete on level terms with the best of them." Great Harwood are at home to Abbey Hey tonight.
RESULT: GREAT HARWOOD...1 WOODLEY...1
