PRESTON travel to in-form West Brom tonight hoping to build on their first league win of the season.
North End finally got three points under their belts with a 1-0 victory over Millwall on Saturday and will be aiming to continue the run against a team who joined them in the First Division play-offs last season.
Victory over the Lions moved David Moyes' side out of the bottom three for the first time this season - and now they need to continue their climb up the table if they are to go one step further than last term.
"The gaffer was pleased with us on Saturday. He was chuffed to see us win," said defender Graham Alexander.
"We have not played brilliant football but you could see in the 14 that played that everyone of us wanted it on Saturday and it should be like that every week. Now we have something to build on.
"I can't put my finger on what has gone wrong so far. But I think we have forgot what made us successful last season.
"We haven't been working hard but we showed if we do we can get results. Hopefully we can do that every game from now on."
Preston will come up against their former midfielder Michael Appleton who joined Gary Megson's side from North End last season.
He has been ever present this season and the Baggies are unbeaten in their last three league games.
Transfer-listed Jon Macken should be in the Deepdale fold after a mixed reception - mostly cheers - when he made his first appearance for North End from the bench on Saturday since handing in his request.
