MEMBERS of Blackburn Deanery Mothers' Union were joining forces with Michaela Fogarty, wife of the three times world superbike champion today.
They were to be in a parade led by Thwaites' brewery drays when The Journey of Hope Canister arrived at Blackburn Cathedral.
Hope for the future and the family was the message being transported in the time capsule which contains the Mothers' Union prayer as it travels throughout Great Britain and Ireland.
A short service in the Cathedral was being led by Canon David Galilee and MU deanery chaplain the Rev A Fishwick.
After the service Michaela was to take the canister by motorbike to the Hoghton Arms on the edge of the Chorley deanery.
The canister began its journey at Westminster Abbey in June and will return to London for a Mothers' Union service in November.
