A CRAFT morning at Sion Baptist Church, Higher Cloughfold, will raise money for impoverished people from Angola.
For the third consecutive year, members of the fellowship at the church will hold a coffee morning on Saturday, from 10,30pm to 1.30pm. There will be various craft stalls and a home-made cake stall and refreshments and lunches will be served.
As a church, Sion supports many aid projects throughout the year and the proceeds from the craft fair will benefit Operation Agri in Angola.
The country impoverished and the countryside littered with landmines. Consequently, many people have flocked to Luanda, the capital city, where living space is scarce and so people live on rubbish dumps and lack even the most basic amenities.
The church will also hold harvest services on Sunday at 10.45am and 6.15pm, when the guest speaker will be the Rev Steve Mantle.
