CLITHEROE's new player-boss Lee Sculpher made it two wins out of two at Prescot in the NWCL Division One last night.
Victory was secured with a goal after just five minutes from Neil Spencer.
Spencer picked up a throw from the right hand flank and cut inside, beating three defenders before knocking the ball past the helpless Prescot keeper.
"It was an excellent goal from Neil," said Sculpher, who was delighted with the way his side is playing.
"We have won four out of the last five now and last night at Prescot we collected a clean sheet for the first time this season which is very important."
Clitheroe had the chances to put the game beyond their hosts before the interval but found the Prescot keeper in excellent form.
Late in the game the home side pressurised but they couldn't find a way through a resolute Clitheroe rearguard.
RESULT: PRESCOT...O CLITHEROE...1
