A MAN was convicted of 10 offences of possessing pornographic images of children.
Douglas Rayment, aged 55, had denied a total of 11 charges of possessing indecent images of a child during his trial at Bolton Crown Court.
The jury found him guilty on 10 counts but returned a verdict of not guilty on one charge of possessing an indecent image of a child.
Through his barrister Rayment, of Bury Road, Tottington, asked for a two week adjournment so that he could put his business affairs in order. He will be sentenced on October 1.
Judge John Roberts agreed to a prosecution request that 30 exhibits shown at the trial be confiscated and ordered that Rayment surrender his passport within the next 24 hours.
But the judge said he had no powers to confiscate other adult pornographic material seized by police.
