THE Army game is definitely rounders for Corporal Amanda Brown of Burnley.
For Amanda, 27, of Burnley, who is serving with the Royal Logistic Corps, has just taken part in an Army Festival at Worthy Down near Winchester.
Amanda has been playing rounders since her school days was one of 300 competitors from nine units who took part, some travelling from Germany, Gibraltar and Cyprus.
Amanda said: "I've always played rounders. It is a great sport and a good way to keep fit. I also play hockey, football and netball for Army teams."
Amanda attended Walshaw High School, Burnley, before joining the army in 1992. Her parents Gwyn and Vera live in the town.
