CONCERNS are growing for the safety of a teenager from Morecambe who has been missing from home for a week.
And, in an unrelated incident, police are searching for a man from Lancaster who has been missing since Tuesday.
Police are anxious to hear from anyone who can help them locate Nicola Jane Newsham, who has not been seen since last Thursday.
She is described as being of heavy build, with dark, brown, shoulder length brown hair.
She is still believed to be in the Morecambe area and was wearing a yellow sweatshirt, black flared trousers and white training shoes.
Meanwhile, Anthony Browning, 31, of Alexandra Road, Lancaster has not been seen since leaving friends at Lancaster railway station at 4.30pm on Tuesday.
He does not know the area very well and is understood to have very little money with him.
He has family in the Peterborough area and may have tried to travel there. Anthony is described as white, approximately 5ft 8ins tall with dark brown hair cut short but longer on top.
He has blue eyes and tends to have stubble.
He was last seen wearing a red jumper, a green jacket with a logo on the back, blue Oakdale tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
PC Fraser Earnshaw said: "Both the police and Anthony's family are concerned for his safety and welfare and would encourage anyone with any information to contact police at Lancaster or for Anthony to contact his family."
Anyone with information on Anthony or Nicola is asked to contact the police on 01524 63333.
