COURSES aimed at developing basic employability skills are to be run at the Coldwell activity centre, Southfield, on the moors above Nelson and Burnley.
The "Workright" subsidised courses will run until the end of March in conjunction with Lancashire Adult and Community Learning Alliance.
The courses are open to a range of groups including people from the voluntary and community sector, those on community service and school non-attendees.
The courses run for a period of 15 weeks and involve training in projects including horticulture, art and catering.
Workright offers progression into the Foundation Training Award with entry level units and NVCQ key skills 1-3.
Gillean Barrawclough of Coldwell Activity centre said: "This is a brilliant opportunity for training at either a reduced rate or free if certain criteria are fulfilled."
