DANCING queens Alexandra Ainsworth and Rebecca Marsh have achieved double medal success after joining their dance school just six weeks ago.
Alexandra, nine, of Bowen Street, Mill Hill, and Rebecca, 11, of Revidge Road, Blackburn, received silver medals for their disco dancing and bronze medals for their rock 'n' roll routine. They became firm friends when they took up dancing three years ago and decided to move to join Ally Katz Dance Studio six weeks ago.
Alexandra's proud mum Elaine said: "Both girls have done extremely well seeing as they only joined Ally Katz recently. They'd never done rock 'n' roll dancing before, so to learn a routine and get bronze medals in their exam in such a short space of time is quite an achievement."
Alexandra, who attends Meadow Head Infants School, Blackburn, wants to be a professional dancer when she grows up and will take a further dancing exam in two weeks.
