A LINE-up of writers is one of the top autumn attractions at Blackburn Central Library.
Local readers will have the chance to meet the people behind the books.
The special series, 'All Sorts of Authors', which runs until November, involves the writers talking about their work and reading from their books.
Dates include:
Tuesday, October 2, 7.30pm: Blackburn author Paul Wilson reads from and talks about his new novel, 'Someone To Watch Over Me'.
Tuesday, October 9, 2pm: Freda Lightfoot talks about her popular novels set in the North West
Wednesday, October 31, 2pm: Margaret Thornton, author of many novels set around Blackpool, reveals the inspiration behind her stories
Wednesday, November 7, 7.30pm: James Harland discusses his new thriller, 'The Month of the Leopard'.
The series was launched by Gordon Finn who spoke about his experiences as a wartime evacuee, outlined in his book 'Another Kind Of Porridge.' He later signed copies of the book.
Organisers are convinced that the appearance of the writers they have invited to the Central Library will prove quite a coup for the local authority as readers very rarely get the opportunity to meet with authors and discuss their work on a one-to-one basis.
