REGARDING your report (LET, September 14) the thugs who threw stones and bottles at firemen when they were putting out fires at Blackburn's Roman Road area want a good hiding and their parents need to be jailed.
Twin Valley Homes Housing should evict the families of these children from their properties to make an example of them and show that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.
The parents of these children ought to realise that it could be their lives in danger next when there are not enough firemen to deal with fires at their homes because of fewer staff being on call because of their offspring injuring other firemen.
Why should homes burn down because of these thugs behaving like animals towards the fire service and why can't immediate action be taken towards the families of these children by local authorities and housing associations to rid their properties of this scum behaviour?
