A JURY returned a verdict of suicide following a two-day inquest into a man who was found hanged in Prestwich Hospital.
The body of patient Craig Haywood (25) had been discovered by staff in the toilets of the hospital's Edenfield Unit last December.
Haywood, who had been jailed for life in 1999 for a serious assault, was found suspended by the neck with a bed sheet.
The verdict of suicide was returned by the jury following the inquest which was held in Bury on Monday and Tuesday (Sept 17-18).
Haywood, who originally came from Stockport, had been serving his sentence in Liverpool Prison.
