A TAXI driver and his passenger were helped to safety from the wreckage of an accident in Radcliffe.
Mr Shafqaut Hussain (35), from Bolton and Mrs Julie Moore (40), of Higher Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe, a passenger in the back of the taxi, were placed on spinal boards by firefighters and paramedics who attended the collision.
The accident happened at 1.50pm on Thursday (Sept 13) at the junction of Ainsworth Road and Lowe Street.
The taxi, a Toyota Carina, was in collision with a Ford Granada estate, driven by Mr Derek Hamer (60) of Milton Road, Radcliffe. His wife and front seat passenger, Mrs Norma Hamer (67), sustained minor injuries.
Mr Hussain and Mrs Moore were taken to Bury General Hospital for treatment to whiplash injuries.
