IT was second time lucky for girl group P6 who won the final of the Powersound 2001talent show.
The teenage quartet comprising Frankie Ross, Emma Leatherbarrow, Hannah Bloor and Rachael Hudson triumphed in front of an audience of 400 at Radcliffe Civic Suite.
It's a sweet victory for the Prestwich singers, who came third in last year's competition. They won £250 worth of musical equipment.
Bury boy band NAU-T came second and won £150, while Radcliffe solo singer Candice came third and won £100.
The event was run by Bury Council and the youth and community service and was sponsored by Doctor Rock Ltd., the Stars in Your Eyes Agency and Britvic Soft Drinks.
David Flynn, Bury Venues promotions manager, said: "Once again it was a terrific evening and a real showcase for the young talent that we have in the borough.
"They were well supported too, with around 400 people packing into Radcliffe Civic Suite to cheer on their favourites. Once again our thanks go out to all those who took part and our congratulations to the very worthy winners."
The prizes were presented by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Paul Nesbit, at last Friday's final.
