THE art gallery at Towneley Hall, Burnley, will be closed next month.
The closure is to allow the installation of new displays and a lift as part of the Towneley Hall development plan funded by the Heritage Lottery and other partners,
There will still be lots to see in the other two wings, the natural history centre and the museum of local crafts and industries.
But the art galleries, prehistory room, military room and kitchen will be closed after October 8.
The popular "Painting Horses" exhibition, with the chance to win a painting of Desert Orchid by Burnley born artist Alison Wilson continues until October 21 when the raffle will be drawn by Alison.
Towneley Hall is open on Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm and on Sundays from 12-5pm. Admission is free.
