A MAN put on a stretcher by paramedics sat up, got to his feet and shouted: "What do you lot want?" Burnley magistrates heard.
The court was told how David Bear, 41, who had been found lying on the pavement, was told by police to calm down but started shouting at two men and tried to lunge towards them.
Officers restrained him, making him sit on the stretcher and he continued shouting and swearing at police and ambulance staff. He was handcuffed and arrested. Bear, of Southfield Street, Nelson, was conditionally discharged for two years, after admitting being drunk and disorderly.
Nadeem Rashid, defending, said Bear, who had been drinking, had been walking home when he was assaulted by two men.
He fell to the ground unconscious and when police arrived, he suddenly came round and saw a group of people around him and panicked.
