A PROLIFIC shoplifter who is banned from Accrington town centre under an anti-social behaviour order was caught stealing from a Blackburn town centre store.
Aspin, 25, of Heyes Lane, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to stealing razor blades from Superdrug and the case was adjourned until October 11 for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Duncan Farrimond, defending, said Aspin had a drug problem which was at the root of his offending and said that while Aspin had received a recent custodial sentence reports had not been called for recently.
He said the police bail condition that excluded Aspin from the borough was draconian but that he could not argue with the condition not to enter any self-service shop or store.
The magistrates eventually imposed unconditional bail with the warning to Aspin that he knew the likely outcome of offending while on bail.
