A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a road accident in Blackpool.
John Stanley Cooper, aged 36, from Victory Road, Blackpool, died after his motorbike was in a collision with a Vauxhall Nova on September 20, at the junction of Talbot Road and Abingdon Street at 12.01am.
Mr Cooper was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver of the car, an 18-year-old man from the Hambleton area, was arrested at the scene after failing a breath test.
Two 18-year-old women passengers in the Nova needed treatment for injuries at Victoria Hospital.
Blackpool police were appealing for witnesses to the accident and were particularly keen to speak to taxi drivers who may have been working in the area at the time.
Witnesses were asked to contact PC Hardman at Blackpool police station on 293933.
