A MOTORCYCLIST was badly injured in a road accident on Sunday morning
Edward Derbyshire, 51, of Warwick Street, Leigh was riding his Honda 90 commuter bike when he was involved in a collision at 9.45am with a Ford Sierra in Twist Lane at its junction with King Street, Leigh
Mr Derbyshire suffered multiple fractures to his legs and pelvis and was taken to the Bolton General Hospital where his condition is described as "comfortable".
The driver of the car involved was Michael Ord, 51, of Firs Lane, Leigh.
Police are asking anyone who saw the accident or has any other information to call 0161 856 7071.
