COUNTY Hall, Preston will be the venue for an open meeting of the Constitutional Convention to discuss the opportunities and pitfalls for Lancashire of a North West Regional Government on Friday, September 28 at 6.30pm.
The Convention wants the public's views on the future of the region. Tea and coffee will be available from 6pm before the meeting.
Speakers will include County Council leader Hazel Harding and Conservative group leader Robert Hodge.
Coun Harding said: "This will be a good opportunity to discuss both the benefits and potential pitfalls of a new regional government for the North West.
"I will be keen to have my say at the public meeting but will be even more keen to hear views.
"I am looking forward to a full and open discussion of this most important issue for the future of the county."
